Does Vista install on Raid0 configuration?
Thanks jurij

Vista and Raid0
It should be able to, but remember it's still in beta so possibly not.

Seems like it is not working. Strangely the setup does ask for Raid drivers (like Xp does). I don't think it natively supports that.

Zack is wrong, storage drivers are still needed for your RAID and SATA disk to be recognized. The motherboard manufacturer is the best source, find out if they have beta drivers or plan on developing drivers for Vista soon. -- -- Andre Windows Connect | http://www.windowsconnected.com Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta FAQ for MS AntiSpy http://www.geocities.com/marfer_mvp/FAQ_MSantispy.htm "jvi" wrote in message

Wow... that's a bit harsh... I left it open to discussion to be honest - "It should be able to"... it could be either way!
And still, it should work!!

Just saying it like it is, I have been accused of being wrong many times in my life and I accept it simply because I was "wrong". It was said from Microsoft officially that storage drivers will still be required. -- -- Andre Windows Connect | http://www.windowsconnected.com Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta FAQ for MS AntiSpy http://www.geocities.com/marfer_mvp/FAQ_MSantispy.htm "Zack Whittaker (R2 Mentor)" wrote in message

Vista should have drivers for all chipset and standard SATA/PATA ports, but only in native IDE and AHCI modes, not necessarily RAID mode.

Whoops! No RAID ability? Methinks there's a lot of opposition to that! Nope, meknows there's opposition! :-}

I keep getting this error when I try to install Vista :
Bl initializelibrary failed 0x0000017
I have a Raid0 configuration
Regards
Most likely it will be fixed in the next Vista build. It's a well known issue.

I just installed it on RAID 0, with this build the setup could see the disk, with the last build I had to copy the drivers to a USB key and I inserted it during setup.
Its not the fact that its RAID, its the fact that its a mass storage device that the setup may not have drivers for.
